Profile

 

Andrea Pollmeier, born in Dortmund, studied German Literature and History in Bonn and Journalism in Kansas (USA). She then completed her Ifp-training in Munich, following which she worked for the Chinese-German cultural exchange from 1988 to 1989. She lives in Frankfurt (Main) with her family. In 2010 she founded the Online-Platform www.faust-kultur.de and was chief editor for intercultural affairs until october 2019. She is a freelance journalist for the Frankfurter Rundschau’s arts section. She frequently visited Haiti and China for work purposes.

In reports, critiques, interviews and portraits she discusses themes ranging from culture to development policy.
